The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on primary school students’ mathematical reasoning skills: a mediation analysis

چکیده
The present research aimed to reveal how the COVID-19 pandemic influenced mathematical reasoning of primary school students through mediation analysis. It was designed as ex post facto research. sample consisted two cohorts. Cohort 1 included 415 children who received face-to-face instruction by attending for six months until emerged. 2 964 were taught curricular skills distance education due and closures. In total, 1,379 recruited into sample. Data collected a test sending items from instrument via Google Docs. data analysed with Results demonstrated that closures negatively skills. Findings are discussed in light human interaction Cattell’s intelligence theory.
